Pengrowth-Nova Scotia Energy Scholarship Program
Mission
The Pengrowth–Nova Scotia Energy Scholarship Program encourages young people interested in pursuing a career in the energy sector to take the appropriate university or community college program they need to meet their career objectives.
The scholarships are awarded annually and are broken down into three different categories. Ten scholarships valued at $10,000 each ($2,500 renewable over four years) are available for student’s persuing energy-related studies at a university. For first year students attending energy related trade and technology programs at the Nova Scotia community college, there are ten non-renewable scholarships valued at $2,500. Students pursuing a master’s degree are eligible for up to four $15,000 research grants.
Nova Scotia Department of Energy and Pengrowth have created this website to provide an easier method for submitting your updated transcripts at the end of each academic year for the Pengrowth Scholarship Program/Innovation Grant. Along with accommodating you, we want to offer you the opportunity to begin networking with businesses in the energy sector at the beginning of your studies. Through this website, you will connect with other Pengrowth Scholarship/Innovation Grant recipients, employers and non-profit organizations and begin building relationships through a discussion board, newsletters, calendar of events and more!
